1. LG Dare (Verizon Wireless)

One of the most notable fallouts of the Apple iPhone launch last year is the ever-growing trend of touch-screen phones. LG was one of the first manufacturers out of the gate with phones such as the LG Voyager and the LG Vu dazzling us with features that we couldn't get on the iPhone, like live mobile TV and 3G connectivity. 4. Samsung Instinct
Over the last year, the collective response from most cell phone manufacturers to the iPhone has been rather muted. But now Samsung is trying a different tactic. Its new Samsung Instinct (SPH-M800) for Sprint is the first cell phone we've seen that throws some direct competition Apple's way. We still dismiss the whole idea of an "iPhone killer" as ridiculous, but comparisons here are inevitable and Sprint is doing nothing to silence them.... see more

5. LG Glimmer
Alltel has long been the fifth wheel when compared with the big four national carriers. It doesn't have its own network in as many states as the others, and its cell phone lineup has traditionally been rather mediocre and stale (with a few notable exceptions such as the LG Scoop and the Motorola Rokr Z6m).. see more
