This is a movie review about The Pursuit of Happiness. It is based on a true story and stars Will Smith and his real-life son, Jaden. The movie is a moving and touching story that should bring some tears to the surface. A nice movie, especially for the holidays. Will Smith gives an amazing performance and his son also does well. see more
Based on the first book in Christopher Paolini's fantasy trilogy about a boy and his dragon, "Eragon" is a bit cheesy, but I rather liked it. It's sincere cheese. The dragon, Saphira, comes with goo-goo eyes that go beyond imposing. see more
"Happy Feet" is an odd bird. It's a CG-animated film with a "Dumbo"-esque story about an emperor penguin that unlike other penguins can't sing worth a lick but, boy, can he tap dance. He sets out against all odds and finds friendship. see more

4. Charlotte's Web
Maybe it's unfair to compare the new live-action and computer-animated "Charlotte's Web" with the charming, Oscar-nominated "Babe" (1995). Well, it may be unfair, but it's impossible not to. The classic Charlotte's Web captured the book by being a fantasy, while the modern day version seems to depend more on special effects. see more
5. Blood Diamond
Being nice about "Blood Diamond" would mean saying almost everything about it except the most important thing, that it is brain-fryingly boring. Here we have a film with all the gravitas, humane purpose and epic length of a classic, but with a lukewarm, uninvolving and slow-moving story, and predictable characters. see more
6. Casino Royal
Bond: We continue to monitor your movements in the mission code-named "Casino Royale." As you are just a beginner in MI6, at the start of what we hope will be a long career (your paychecks will be issued under the front name of Daniel Craig). see more
7. Apocalypto
Mel Gibson's action-adventure about the waning days of the Mayan civilization stars unknowns and is entirely subtitled, yet it's surprisingly accessible. It's also a failure as anything more than an action film. see more
8. The Holiday
Star power is not nothing, though, and "The Holiday" has that covered, thanks to its toothsome cast -- they're a dental paradise, this lot -- and to a premise (L.A. dame exchanges houses with a Brit) requiring little elaboration. see more
9. The Nativity Story
Hollywood is in a born-again mode with its rediscovery that Biblical epics can bring manna at the box office. In New Line Cinema's "The Nativity Story" we have the first smart, artistically and spiritually satisfying film to emerge from... see more
10. Unaccompanied Minors
Kids (including Tyler James Williams, the star of "Everybody Hates Chris") who are shuttling between divorced parents get stranded at an airport terminal during a holiday blizzard. They escape a holding area and scamper around playing with stuff while authorities try to catch them. see more
